soul_cake_duckMan. My computer hates livejournal. Its hella annoying. Stupid thing.
Anyway. God today was tiring. Had to wake up at the ungodly hour of seven. We were going to Hoofdorp, which is this place in the middle of nowhere. We had to take 3 different trains to get there. Then, us being the smart people we are (note sarcasm)we decided we could walk to where we were going using the directions we had printed off the internet. Bad, bad idea. We ended up walking around completely lost for almost an hour. And it was cold. Luckily it wasnt raining, but it was going to. So we finally admit defeat, walk back to the train station and take the bus. Naturally it turns out that we HAD been heading in the right direction, it was just that the place was further on and kinda hidden. Stupid.
Anyway. By the time we got home I was so tired I just ate and took a nap. And now Im here.
Other than that. I have to start thinking of packing. Boo.
And the football! Had our first penalty shootout last night. God. Tension. Its ridiculous. I was all shaky and its like, Im not even really supporting any of these teams, but still. It was cute. Apparently we have Portugese people living round here because when they scored that first goal in extra time you could hear people shouting (letting off tooters? claxons? what the hell are those things called?)and being generally happy. I have to feel bad for England though. They got robbed of a goal. But in the grand scheme of things...Actually now I dont know. Seems I'd been giving England too much credit. Everyone seems to think they had been playing too defensively and that would have been good for us should we win on tomorrow. But hey, we can so beat those Swedes. And Im sure we can beat the Portugese as well. Which would put us in the final. Which would be INSANE! And awesome.
